Fife Council’s Economic Development Team, in partnership with Business Gateway Fife, has delivered the sixteenth annual Fife Business Week, bringing together more than 800 attendees across 18 events.
This year’s programme combined practical business sessions with sector updates and discussions on workforce and community priorities. Attendees explored themes including the transition to a low carbon economy, digital marketing, tendering and skills development, reflecting the needs of local businesses.
A highlight was the Welcome to Fife Tourism Showcase, which emphasised the importance of tourism and hospitality to the regional economy. Other sector focused sessions, including Meet the Buyer, The Local Advantage: Boosting Your Business with Fife Produce and the Fife House Builders Forum, offered opportunities for businesses to understand local supply chains and connect with buyers and partners.
This year also saw a new collaboration with Business Babble, producing the podcast episode “Inside Scotland’s Most Supportive Entrepreneur Ecosystem,” featuring local business owners. The episode has already gained more than 200 views on YouTube and around 20 listens on Spotify, helping to share business experiences from across Fife with a wider audience.
Pamela Stevenson, Service Manager for Economic Development at Fife Council, said:
“Fife Business Week reflects the strength and resilience of our business community. The level of participation this year shows the value businesses place on coming together to share knowledge and explore new opportunities.”
Planning is already underway for next year’s programme.
