AIC Heating UK marks major construction milestone on £6 million Fife headquarters

InvestFife news

July 28, 2026

AIC Heating UK Ltd has celebrated a significant construction milestone with the topping out of its new £6 million investment from their parent company in Europe. The ceremony celebrates this state of the art purpose-built headquarters and training facility in Lochgelly, marking the completion of the building's structural frame and roof.

The event brought together representatives from Fife Council, including Councillor Altany Craik (Glenrothes West & Kinglassie Ward), alongside the project team led by Redpath Construction, the main contractor. Representatives from the wider design team, including Hardies Chartered Surveyors, Entasis Architects, Bayne Stevenson Associates, Helix Consulting and Tayview Management Services also attended, together with AIC UK and Europe’s executive teams.

Once complete, the new facility will become AIC Heating UK's flagship UK base, providing office, warehouse and specialist training space. It will showcase the company's latest high efficiency commercial heating technologies, including commercial gas boilers, hot water generators, as well as driving the transition to a greener future with their low carbon air source heat pumps and energy storage systems. The showcase building will also serve as a hub for colleagues and clients from across Europe.

The investment reinforces AIC Heating UK's long-term commitment to Scotland and is expected to support further business growth. The company currently employs 12 people in Fife, expecting to increase the local workforce in line with the continued growth.

The development is also delivering economic benefits locally, with the project team working closely with several Fife-based businesses throughout the construction programme, helping to strengthen the regional supply chain and support community wealth building.

Stephen Wilson, Managing Director of AIC Heating UK Ltd, said:

"Reaching the topping out stage is a major milestone for everyone involved in this project. Seeing the warehouse and training facility take shape really brings home the scale of this investment and what it will mean for our business, our clients, and our team.

"We're creating a modern facility that reflects our ambitions for future growth while strengthening our presence in Fife. We're also proud to have partnered with many local businesses who are playing a key role in bringing this development to life."

Clark Moore, Construction Director at Redpath Construction Ltd, added:

"We're proud to be delivering this landmark development for AIC Heating UK. The topping out ceremony was an opportunity to recognise the collaboration, commitment and expertise shown by the entire project team in reaching this important milestone.

Councillor Altany Craik, Fife Council Spokesperson for Finance, Economy & Strategic Planning, said:

“This £6 million investment is a significant vote of confidence in Lochgelly and in Fife as a place to do business. The new headquarters and training facility will provide AIC Heating UK with a strong base for its next stage of growth, creating opportunities for more local jobs and allowing the company to showcase its latest low carbon heating technologies.

“It was a pleasure to join AIC Heating UK and the wider project team to mark the topping out of the new facility. It is particularly encouraging to see several Fife businesses involved in the construction programme, meaning the investment is already benefiting the local economy. I look forward to seeing the facility completed and AIC Heating UK building on its success here in Fife.”
