Lynnwood Restorations, a leading vehicle restoration and fleet maintenance company in Kirkcaldy, has expanded into a newly refurbished premises at Merchant Place. With support from Fife Council’s Economic Development team, the move allows the business to grow and continue delivering high-quality automotive restoration services.
Run by 28-year-old Daniel Wheway, Lynnwood Restorations has built a strong reputation since 2020 for its attention to detail and expert vehicle repairs. When the lease on his previous premises ended, Daniel needed a new space to meet increasing customer demand.
The Merchant Place unit, managed by Fife Council’s Business Property team, was modernised after 30+ years as a garage. Upgrades included rewiring and repainting to create a modern workspace. Daniel has also installed a new spray booth, allowing for large vehicle restorations, including vans and horseboxes.
Alongside the move, Lynnwood Restorations has secured a major contract to repair and restore all fleet vehicles for St Andrews University. This partnership reinforces the company's expertise in fleet maintenance and high-standard vehicle restoration.
Daniel Wheway, owner of Lynnwood Restorations, said:
"The move to Merchant Place was essential to keep my business running smoothly. Fife Council’s Business Property team worked closely with me to make sure the unit was ready for my needs, and their support has been fantastic throughout the process. The new spray booth I’ve invested in means I can continue offering the high-quality restorations my customers expect, including for larger vehicles.”
