Fife Council’s Economic Development Team is inviting expressions of interest from Fife businesses wishing to join local representation at Southern Manufacturing & Electronics 2027, taking place from 2nd–4th February 2027 at the Farnborough International Exhibition & Conference Centre, as part of our Trade Development Programme.

Southern Manufacturing & Electronics is one of the UK’s leading industrial exhibitions, bringing together over 570 suppliers from across the manufacturing, engineering, electronics, and industrial technology sectors. The show attracts engineers, buyers, and industry specialists exploring new technologies, supply chain partners, and innovation opportunities.

Across three days, the exhibition features extensive product displays, technical conferences, innovation galleries, demonstrations, and networking opportunities. The 2026 edition welcomed 10,722 attendees and 571 exhibitors, demonstrating the scale and influence of the event within the UK manufacturing ecosystem.

Why Exhibit at Southern Manufacturing & Electronics 2027?

Fife Council’s Trade Development Programme can support the organisation and co ordination of shared exhibition space for local companies wishing to exhibit at this key industry event.

By exhibiting at Southern Manufacturing & Electronics, businesses can benefit from:

  • Direct access to buyers, engineers, procurement teams, and technical specialists across the UK’s manufacturing and electronics sectors
  • Opportunities to promote products, services, and capabilities to leading companies such as McLaren, Dyson, Rolls Royce, Siemens and others
  • Exposure to industry-wide innovation spanning aerospace, automation, electronics, mechanical engineering, and advanced manufacturing
  • Insights into new technologies, processes, and supply chain developments through seminars and live demonstrations
  • Event support from the Fife Trade Development Programme

To date, three Fife-based businesses . Fife Fabrications Ltd (FiFab), Eurospray Ltd, and Quality Precision Electronics (QPE) have all secured exhibition space, hoping to re-engage face-to-face with existing clients, as well as make new contacts.

Who Should Apply?

This opportunity is suitable for:

  • Manufacturing, engineering, and fabrication companies
  • Electronics, automation, and digital technology suppliers
  • Advanced manufacturing and materials specialists
  • Robotics, AI, automation, and industrial systems providers
  • OEMs, subcontractors, component manufacturers, and technical service providers
  • Any Fife based business seeking to connect with national supply chains or expand its presence in UK manufacturing and electronics markets

Support Available

If eligible, there may be support available through Fife Council’s Trade Development Programme to help with the cost of exhibiting.

This may include:

  • Contribution towards exhibition space within the Fife shared stand
  • Practical assistance with stand coordination, logistics, and event preparation

Please note:

  • Support is not guaranteed
  • Companies that have previously received support may receive a reduced level of contribution
  • Final support levels will be confirmed after assessment of all expressions of interest

Participants will also be asked to complete a short post event feedback form to help evaluate the impact of the programme.
