Through Climate Fife’s Big Energy Move, and our Local Heat & Energy Efficiency Strategy, Fife Council are a leading voice in the public sector for the decarbonisation of heat and the energy transition. Fife Council are committed to supporting the energy transition across communities, businesses, organisations and public sector bodies. Recognising this must be done in a just way to ensure everyone is brought along for the transition.

Following the success of Fife – A Place for Energy in 2025, Fife Council are delighted to be able to host a second energy forum; in collaboration with the Housebuilders Forum.

This half-day event will focus on the journey to establish and connect to district heat networks. Attendees will hear about the opportunities in Fife for heat networks, interesting case studies, and information on the journey which housebuilders and other stakeholders can undertake. The second session will focus on how we can unlock delivery at a mix of scales.

This event will include practical on the ground examples, as well as larger strategic policy discussions and considerations. This provides a great opportunity for housebuilders and other stakeholders to discuss this ever-evolving topic and understand how they can support the heat transition in Fife.

By working together, we can ensure Fife is a place where everyone can access affordable clean energy from renewable sources.
