DYW Fife: Fife Employers Shape the Future Workforce - Takeover Day
DYW Fife: Fife Employers Shaping the Future Workforce: Manufacturing, Engineering & Construction Showcase
This exciting DYW Fife event is designed to inspire young people aged 15–17 who are interested in exploring future careers within the Manufacturing, Engineering and Construction sectors.
The day will begin with a business networking breakfast, bringing together employers, industry partners, educators and DYW Fife stakeholders. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from key industry representatives, DYW Alumni and Young Ambassadors, while learning how engagement with Developing the Young Workforce is helping businesses strengthen their talent pipeline, raise their profile and achieve a return on investment through meaningful employer-school partnerships.
The main event will welcome around 160 young people from schools across Fife, who will participate in a series of hands-on, interactive workshops delivered by employers. Through these engaging sessions, learners will gain valuable insight into the diverse career opportunities available within the sectors, the skills employers are looking for, and the routes into employment, apprenticeships and further study.
For businesses, the event offers a unique opportunity to showcase their organisation, connect directly with future talent and help shape young people's understanding of the world of work. By strengthening links between education and industry, the event supports the development of Fife's future workforce while highlighting the exciting career opportunities available locally.
Who can attend: Employers from the Manufacturing, Engineering and Construction sectors who are interested in developing their future talent pipeline, strengthening links with education and finding out more about DYW Fife. Workshops will be coordinated in advance; however, businesses not delivering a workshop are welcome to attend the networking breakfast and observe the event.
