The Farmer’s Son secures significant deal
Auchertool’s The Farmer’s Son, producer of award-winning artisan black pudding, white pudding, haggis and lorne sausage, has secured a significant contract with a leading retailer in the North of England, securing the growth of its business.
Against a background of the cancellation of several important business growth events because of COVID-19, e.g. The Royal Highland Show, The Farmer’s Son has successfully grown its business by 60 per cent. It also predicts that its latest contract with Booths, which only sells the best food and drink available, will open further doors.
Pete Mitchell established The Farmer’s Son three years ago and, since then, has grown the business year on year. It currently employs five staff. Pete took time out to speak to fbm Update and explained:
“Our new contract to supply 30 of Booths’ stores is a new milestone. It has secured the future of the business and we’re confident it will also create new business opportunities.”
The Farmer’s Son is working to generate new clients as well as a range of new products and new markets. The premium food producer recently started exporting to Hong Kong, having built a new trade relationship at Showcasing Scotland 2019, held at Gleneagles.
