The Buffalo Farm Set To Begin Mozzarella Production
After successfully raising over £1 million through its Founders Club fundraising initiative, The Buffalo Farm will begin production of Scotland’s first Buffalo Mozzarella in the coming weeks.
Despite a few delays due to COVID, The Buffalo Farm has now completed the construction of its dairy production facilities at Bankhead of Raith and is within touching distance of the original dream of owner, Steve Mitchell.
The company has already been producing its own ice cream using Buffalo milk at its newly launched Milk Bar and Grill.
The Buffalo Ice Cream has a richer and creamier texture than the ice cream manufactured from cows milk, and The Buffalo Farm is looking to build on the extremely positive feedback it has received.
“Testing for the buffalo mozzarella has gone extremely well, and we are now just waiting for a few details and final certification before we can move to full commercial production.”
