Haldane UK Secures Six Figure Timber Restoration Project for Cameron House Hotel
Haldane UK, the UK's most advanced manufacturer of luxury timber handrails and precision timber components, has secured a major six-figure contract as part of the project to return the five-star Cameron House Hotel to its former glory.
The company, which also carried out restoration work for Windsor Castle following the fire which destroyed the building back in 1992, will be responsible for recreating some of the intricate timber architrave and decorative panels throughout the hotel using its 3D laser scanning and its pioneering timber machining technology.
However, the project's central focus will see Haldane UK manufacture and install the grand feature staircase, described by the main contractor as the "jewel in the crown" of the world-famous hotel.
As well as manufacturing luxury timber handrails for celebrities and royalty for projects around the world, Haldane’s expertise is also called upon to recreate historic timber pieces right down to components which have been slightly damaged, weathered or splintered over time.
Haldane UK’s Managing Director, Forrester Adam, spoke of the project:
“Cameron House Hotel was one of Scotland’s most luxurious hotels with a global presence before it was tragically destroyed by the fire. We are very proud to add it to our long list of prestigious projects and look forward to seeing the hotel open and looking better than ever.”
