MEET THE BUYER GOES ONLINE AND IS CALLING FOR FIFE BUSINESSES TO GET INVOLVED
The 12th annual Meet the Buyer 2021 event will take place virtually this year, with organisers calling on Fife-based businesses to get involved and enjoy unprecedented access to buyers and decision makers from across the private and public sector.
Fifty-one local businesses have signed up, to this year’s Meet the Buyer, which is being organised by the Supplier Development Programme and takes place on Tuesday 8th June. It is being billed as the event of the year for those businesses seeking to engage with buyers from the public sector. Businesses will be able to meet procurement teams from local councils, alongside other public and private sector buying organisations.
The organisers say this is not just another Zoom meeting, Google Meet or Microsoft Meeting – there will be a full agenda – from 10am to 4pm – with speakers throughout the day covering a range of hot topics, such as Growth Deals, links to Community Wealth Building, sustainable procurement and how to bring innovation to the public sector, as well as Brexit. In addition, there will also be a live Q&A, and a session on top tips for tendering, delivered by the Supplier Development Programme. Delegates will also be able to virtually visit exhibitions stands, download information, and speak directly on a one-to-one basis with buyers via in-built video conferencing.
