With every hope that it will be business as usual come September, Invest Fife, which is the external brand name for Fife Council Economic Development’s range of services, is seeking one final locally based company to join its delegation and exhibition at Offshore Europe in September.
Invest Fife has committed to a sizeable exhibition area so Fife-based businesses can highlight their technical capabilities as part of the offshore energy supply chain, to thousands of buyers from around the world. In previous years, visitor numbers have been in excess of 35,000.
Offshore Europe takes place in Aberdeen between the 7th and 10th September 2021. To date, seven businesses have confirmed their attendance including Lamond & Murray, Ductform HFE, Bridge Systems Ltd, MRS Training & Rescue, Surface Heating Systems as well as the latest recruit, PFI Sign Solutions. One additional place remains.
Ann Camus, Enterprise and Business Development Manager at Fife Council Economic Development is encouraging businesses to participate, as the benefits are significant. She said:
“Fife Council’s Economic Development Team has been leading delegations to Offshore Europe for over 20 years, and it’s one of the events on the calendar that businesses look forward to, because of the opportunities presented. The event is set up in such a way that participating businesses have a captive market – buyers attend with the sole purpose of securing suppliers and seeking new and innovative ways of doing business.”
“As part of our platform, we are seeking one final business to join our delegation, and exhibit to the receptive visitors. We have a notable track record of securing business at this event, so we do hope, we can attract one additional innovative business to join us in Aberdeen, and to see that exhibitions, especially of this scale, are an excellent way to promote a business.”
Mick Cummings, Managing Director of Surface Heating Systems, commented:
“Last year (2020) was a very demanding year for many companies, including Surface Heating Systems Ltd. As a major supplier and installer of specialist electrical heating equipment around the world, we saw our industry collapse due to the imposed travel and lockdown restrictions, resulting in reduced turnover and redundancies.
“As a company that normally exhibits worldwide, including Las Vegas, Washington DC, New York, Amsterdam, Cologne and at various locations around the UK, we see Offshore Europe as being the first step back to normality.”
