East Coast Refrigeration, Fife’s newest refrigeration, air conditioning and cold store business, has moved to new premises as it seeks to expand the service side of its business.
The business, headed up by Darren and Emma Henderson, moved to its first premises, located in the Fife Food & Business Centre, Glenrothes, following lockdown. InvestFife’s Property Team assisted in the search for premises, leasing the 4,100 sq.ft. unit to East Coast Refrigeration. Emma explains:
“We first were in contact with InvestFife during lockdown seeking premises, as we have quickly outgrown our home office. Whilst we couldn’t view our new facility straight away because of restrictions, it was worth waiting for! We’re now settled in and very much focused on expanding the service side of the business, the vehicle fleet and our team.”
During lockdown, East Coast Refrigeration was fortunate enough to be able to carry out some mortuary works and provide an emergency service for local convenience stores, butchers, bakers and takeaways, which were providing an essential service.
Emma added: “Business is definitely getting back on track following lockdown. We are taking calls from new customers every day and have some amazing projects in the pipeline. We’re currently working on a fantastic new fish shop, which is opening soon in Kirkcaldy!”
