CuanTec, the Scotland-based Chitosan-manufacturer, is delighted to announce that it has achieved accreditation for ISO (International Organisation for Standardisation) standards for Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001); Environmental Management (14001) and Occupational Health and Safety (45001).
The International Organisation of Standardisation (ISO) sets global standards for trusted goods and services. These standards define what good looks like and sets a series of consistent benchmarks for businesses. These standards ensure reliability, they build trust and they simplify choices. Achieving these standards is a “must” for CuanTec to meet its objective to delight our customers by producing trusted, high quality, highly traceable, high specification Chitosan powders. These products require high level production and management standards, together with industry-leading levels of traceability and positive environmental impact as they designed for use in advanced biomedical, dental and veterinary products, where its unique therapeutic properties can improve, or ultimately, save lives.
Each of these standards sets internationally-recognised benchmarks in a number of discreet areas:
ISO 9001: globally recognized standard for quality management. It helps organizations to improve their performance, meet customer expectations and demonstrate their commitment to quality. It means our organization has put in place effective processes and trained staff to deliver flawless products or services
ISO 14001: globally recognized standard for environmental management systems. It provides a framework to continually improve environmental performance. It shows that CuanTec is acting to to minimize their environmental footprint, comply with legal requirements, and achieve their environmental objectives.
ISO 45001: international standard that sets requirements for an occupational health and safety (OH&S) management system. It provides a framework to manage risks and improve OH&S performance. Key elements include leadership commitment, worker participation, hazard identification and risk assessment, legal and regulatory compliance, emergency planning, incident investigation and continual improvement.
